The weather outlook for today and the rest of the week in southwestern Connecticut appears to be pretty much clear sailing -- with one exception* -- according to the National Weather Service.
Sunny, warm skies are in the forecast for today, with the daytime high temperature rises to the low-80s and a west wind around 8 mph.
Tonight will be clear, with a low temperature in the low-60s and a southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
Tomorrow is also expected to be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
The possible exception* to the current stretch of nice weather come Thursday, when the NWS says there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees.
The odds of storms increases to 70 percent by Thursday night, according to the NWS, as the temperature dips to a low in the mid-70s.
The rain clouds leave the region Friday as skies turn partly sunny and the temperature rises to about 80 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-60s.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures about 80 degrees.
