Westport weather: 'Hazardous' storms possible

Strong storms are possible this afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service warns, setting the stage for unsettled weather through the weekend.
Skies across southwestern Connecticut will be partly sunny through midday, the NWS says, be in a "hazardous weather outlook" it warns there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms -- some with heavy rain and strong wind -- after 4 p.m. The daytime high temperature is expected to reach the low-80s.
Tonight, showers and thunderstorms are again possible, mainly between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. tomorrow, as the temperature dips to a low of around 68 degrees.
Tomorrow, the threat of storms remains in effect between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The day will be cloudy, with a high near 81. Precipitation is also possible overnight, with a nighttime low of about 68 degrees.
The outlook for Saturday and Sunday is largely the same: A chance of showers and thunderstorms both days, rated at about 30 percent. The high temperatures will be about 80 degrees and the lows overnight in the upper-60s.
