Westport weather: Gloomy exception to sunny stretch

After a weekend of beautiful spring weather, the work week starts today on a less-welcome note with a 50 percent chance of percent chance of showers.
Skies across southwestern Connecticut will remain cloudy most of the day, according to the National Weather Service, as the temperature rises to a daytime high of about 60 degrees. There will be a southeast wind 5 to 13 mph.
Tonight, showers are also possible as the temperature dips to the mid-40s, with a southeast wind around 9 mph. Odds of nighttime precipitation are about 40 percent.
Tomorrow, there is a slight chance of rain before 2 p.m., with gradual clearing at midday as the temperature rises to the low-60s. There will be an east wind 7 to 14 mph. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-40s.
On Wednesday, there will be mostly sunny skies and a temperature rising to the mid-60s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low around 40 degrees.
Thursday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-60s. Night skies will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-40s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, will be sunny with temperatures in the 60s.
