The "is-it-spring-or-not" weather remains in for the forecast for southwestern Connecticut over the next several days.

As daytime temperatures creep up to the 50-degree range, rain -- and perhaps even light snow -- are also in the offing, according to the National Weather Service.

Today will be mostly sunny, the NWS says, with a high near 47 degrees. There will be a north wind 6 to 8 mph becoming southwest.

There is a slight chance of light rain tonight and skies will be cloudy. The temperature is expected to all to about 37.

More rain is in the forecast tomorrow, mainly after 2 p.m. It will be cloudy with a daytime high in the low-40s.

Tomorrow's rain, however, may turn to a mix of rain and snow by late night, with new snow accumulation of less than a half-inch.

The messy mix may continue Friday, with rain and snow until about 2 p.m., then changing to rain. The daytime high should be about 36 degrees. It will be breezy, with a north wind between 20 and 23 mph.

Saturday, however, is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 48 degrees.
