Like the brief downpours the erupted yesterday afternoon, the National Weather Service predicts unsettled conditions today could trigger showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight.

The chance of precipitation is greatest after 1 p.m. as clouds increase and the daytime high temperature rises to about 80 degrees. There will be an east wind between 5 and 11 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms are more likely tonight, mainly before midnight, the NWS says. There also will be patchy fog as the temperature dips to about 69 degrees.

Tomorrow brings a renewed chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 a.m., and then a slight chance of more storms after 2 p.m. Otherwise, skies should be mostly sunny, with a high near 87 degrees. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 65 degrees.

Thursday should be sunny, the weather service predicts, with a high near 78 degrees.
