A rainy Sunday is on tap for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain remains in the forecast through the night, mostly before 2 a.m., the NWS says. There will patchy fog and the temperature will fall to a low of about 36 degrees. There will likely be new rainfall amounts of an additional one-half to three-quarters inch.
Tomorrow, skies will be cloudy in the morning and light rain is possible before 9 a.m. But the clouds should give way to the sun by midday and the temperature will reach a daytime high in the low-40s, the NWS predicts. A wind from the north is expected to register between 21 and 23 mph. The nighttime low will be around 28.
Tuesday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 42 degrees, according to the weather service.
