A fine fall weekend transitions today into a cool, wet work week, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies over southwestern Connecticut will be mostly cloudy today with a daytime high temperature about 62 degrees and a wind from the south between 8 and 11 mph.

Tonight, scattered showers are possible, mainly before 11 p.m. The overnight low temperature will be in the mid-40s with a south wind around 11 mph, becoming west.

Cloudy conditions increase tomorrow, and the high temperature will be about 60 degrees, the NWS says. There will be a west wind between 10 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Skies will be mostly cloudy tomorrow night, with a low around 45 degrees.

On Wednesday, there is a chance of showers, mainly after noon. The high temperature will be in the high 50s. There is a chance showers Wednesday night with the low about 50 degrees, the NWS says.

Rain is likely Thursday, the weather service predicts.
