Here's an inventory of things you should know about Westport's status in the wake of Hurricane Sandy:
Balloting is taking place Tuesday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., at all of the town's usual polling stations.
Westport public schools are closed Tuesday for Election Day, but are expected to reopen Wednesday.
Residents who still have no power because a residential service line is out -- the line from the street into the house -- report it by calling 1-800-286-2000 number. There are four trouble teams in Westport dedicated solely to these house service restorations.
Federal Emergency Management Agency grants are available to Westport residents to help with the costs of repairs and other expenses. These are outright grants that do not have to be repaid and are tax-free. Call FEMA at 800-621- 3362 to start a claim over the phone, or register at the agency's web site: www.fema.gov
Real estate tax payment deadline extended to Nov. 15: Gov. Dannel P. Malloy extends quarterly real estate tax payment deadline to Nov. 15 because of Hurricane Sandy.

Public charging of electronic devices today at Westport Public Library and Center for Senior Activities.
Center for Senior Activities will be closed Monday for all meals and activities so that regular programs can resume Tuesday.
Metro-North Railroad running on close to regular schedule.
Westport Transit District commuter shuttle buses resume service on regular routes as long as they are passable. Call 203-299-5170 for updates.
Longshore golf course reopened Saturday. Cash only, no credit cards.
Saturday yard waste hours extended, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Regular hours Saturday at transfer station 7 a.m. to noon. Residential dump fees at transfer station and yard waste facility waived through Nov. 10.
Water available at all Westport fire stations.
Drivers reminded that intersections where traffic lights are not functioning should be treated as a stop sign.
