Last season Staples graduate John DiBartolomeo shared the court with Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter as his professional basketball team Maccabi Haifa out of Israel toured the United States for preseason action against a pair of NBA clubs.

This year, Maccabi was back in the states for a preseason action, this time in Sacramento against the Kings. DiBartolomeo was in the starting lineup for the visitors, who lost 135-98 in the first game played at the Kings' new arena, the Golden 1 Center.

The six-foot DiBartolomeo — who gradated from the Wreckers in 2009 — finished the game with 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-6 from downtown. He also added five rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes of action.

All of the Kings' top players suited up for the game, including DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay. Ben McLemore led all scorers with 18 points.

DiBartolomeo was a standout at the University of Rochester from 2009-2013 and signed with Palma Air Europa in Spain after graduating. He joined Maccabi Haifa last season.
