WESTPORT — A Weston man was arrested for driving under the influence after allegedly running a red light at the intersection of Main and Canal streets.

An officer stopped the car Michael Nasi was driving and noticed signs of intoxication on the night of Dec. 8, according to police. He failed a field sobriety test and his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit based on a breathalyzer test, police said.

He was charged with operating under the influence and failure to obey a traffic control signal. The 21-year-old resident of North Avenue in Weston has a court date of Dec. 15, and his bail was set at $1,000.
