Westport author pens 'Lola' children's books

A debut children's book by Westport author Christine Pakkala, "Last-but-Not-Least Lola Going Green," has been announced by Boyds Mills Press, an imprint of Highlights Press. It is the first in a series of chapter books for children ages 7-10 by Pakkala.

"Last-but-Not-Least Lola Going Green, "introduces young readers to funny and strong-willed Lola Zuckerman. Lola's problem is she's always last-- last in line, last to be called on at school, forever last. Two other book sin the series are planned: "Last-but-Not-Least Lola And the Wild Chicken" in Fall 2014, and book three, "Last-but-Not-Least Lola and the Knot the Size of Texas," in Fall 2015.
