WESTPORT — On the heels of the recent announcement of changes in the highest ranks of the Police Department, three new officers have also been sworn.

The new officers fill vacancies on the force created by the retirement of three veteran officers late last year. Their departure has been followed by Chief Dale Call’s decision to retire as of April 1, when he will be succeeded in the top job by Deputy Chief Fotios Koskinas;

Michael Morrin joins the department after a career with the Orange Police Department. He attained the rank of detective before retiring in that town after 21 years.

James Sullivan previously worked 25 years with the Woodbridge police, retiring at the rank of Sergeant.

Rachel Baron joins the department from Ridgefield police, where she spent the previous two and a half years as a patrol officer.
