The Westport Senior Center is hosting several events Nov. 14 and Nov. 16 -- a visit from Earthplace, a cooking class, a Saturday Social and a flu clinic, all at the Center, 21 Imperial Ave.

On Thursday, Nov. 14 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Senior Naturalist Becky Newman from Earthplace will visit the Senior Center for an "Earthplace Encounter." Participants will meet live animals including mammals, insects, reptiles and birds, during the hands-on program.

Also on Nov. 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Holly Betts will lead a cooking class for easy, healthy cooking ideas for singles or couples. The cost is $6 per person.

In the evening on, Nov. 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Westport Weston Health district will hold its annual flu clinic at the Center. The shot is free with Medicare Part B or Anthem Bluecross Blueshield. Otherwise, the cost is $35.

Saturday, Nov. 16 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., the Center will host a Saturday Social, including lunch. The cost is $7 per person. Following lunch, guests will be treated to the musical performance of John Paolillo, a one-man show with full band sound. He'll play oldies, rock, Motown, country, jazz and more.
