Westport Memorial Day parade: Here's the line of march

Westport's Memorial Day parade steps off at 9 a.m. Monday.

Formation of units begins at Saugatuck Elementary School on Riverside Avenue, and the line of march is north up Riverside, over the Post Road bridge and on to Town Hall on Myrtle Avenue.

Memorial services will follow immediately afterward on the Town Commons opposite Town Hall.

This year's grand marshal is Robert Satter, 90, a World War II veteran. Satter served as a radio operator with the 8th Air Force and was one of the original crews that formed the 732nd bomb squadron, part of the 453rd bombarment group of which Maj. James (Jimmie) Stewart, the actor, was operations officer.
