Westport Library to show four films in January

Westport Public Library will show four films this January in this year's Overcoat Film Series.

The screenings, which will have brief introductions and be held in the McManus Room, include:

Thursday, Jan. 5: A Touch of Class -- A romantic comedy starring George Segal and Glenda Jackson (in French with English subtitles; 1972; 106 minutes).

Thursday, Jan. 12: A Man Escaped -- This prison-break film brought Frank Bresson the "Best Director" award at Cannes (1956, 102 minutes).

Thursday, Jan. 19: Gates of Heaven -- A funny documentary on the pet cemetery business in California (1978, 83 minutes).

Thursday, Jan. 26: My Darling Clementine -- A John Ford western with Henry Fonda and Victor Mature (1946, 97 minutes).

The screenings are free and open to the public.
