Westport Library to host sustainability expert

Westport Public Library will hold a talk by Lewis Blaustein, a certified Climate Reality Project leader, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Blaustein will give an updated version of the slide show presentation that formed the basis of "An Inconvenient Truth," a 2006 documentary produced by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore, according to a release. The film is about his campaign to educate the public about global warming.

The Climate Reality Project is a nonprofit organization founded and led by Gore.

Blaustein has worked in the green/sustainability marketing field since 2002. In 2005, he launched Lewis Brand Solutions Inc., working with sustainable businesses, including Whole Foods, Starwood Hotels and the Empire State Building.

The program, co-sponsored by the Town of Westport Green Task Force, is free.
