Westport Public Library will host a free performance by the Doc Wallace Trio at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road. The group will play Texas-style contest fiddling, best described as a fusion between traditional old-time fiddling and early jazz.
Founded in 1999, the trio has performed for a diverse range of audiences, including at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Midori & Friends, Young Audiences, the New York Philharmonic, and the Levitt Pavilion. It also plays in schools, hospitals, psychiatric facilities, homeless shelters, houses of worship and prisons.
