Westport Library to hold two jobseeker programs
Published 4:18 pm, Thursday, December 27, 2012
Westport Public Library, 20 Jesup Road, will host two free workshops for job-seekers. Both require registration.
Dr. Paul Epstein, a naturopathic physician and mind-body medicine stress expert, will discuss "Beyond Coping ... Cultivating Resilience" at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 9 in the McManus Room. The talk and workshop will focus on facing one's challenges more effectively and help participants learn mindful meditation, relaxation, and other techniques for stress reduction.
Mel Sorcher, an organizational psychologist, will discuss "Killer Interviews for Recent College Grads and College Seniors" at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 24 in the Seminar Room. His approach is based on the premise that recent graduates must use the interview to make themselves memorable to the interviewer.
Sorcher's talk is open only to jobseekers who are college seniors or have graduated from a four-year college within the last two years or who will graduate in 2013.
