Westport Public Library will hold a "hands-on mini-exhibit" about conservation for children in grades K-5 from Tuesday, March 19, to Tuesday, April 12. It will be take place in its Children's Library, 20 Jesup Road.
It will feature hands-on activities designed to teach children about a family's use of electricity, recycling, solar power and other conservation topics, according to a release.
The display will focus on energy, environmental health, conservation and energy's future to help children learn what energy is and how to use it. It will also show children that some materials on earth are limited and need to be conserved and that choices affect one's health and the planet's health.
The exhibit, presented courtesy of the Stepping Stones Museum for Children, is free.
