The Westport Historical Society is hosting its 24th annual Hidden Garden Tour party on Sunday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Gilbertie’s Herb Gardens, 7 Sylvan Lane.

The event will feature silent and live auctions of original artworks. These include a lenticular print by local artist Miggs Burroughs that displays an image of the Mona Lisa or Marilyn Monroe, depending on the angle from which it’s viewed; an artist’s proof of a beach scene by Leonard Everett Fisher; a still life by watercolorist Charles Reid and photographs of Morocco by David Kalman. Weekend getaway packages will also be auctioned off.

New this year will be a hat competition featuring five categories: best gentleman’s, best lady’s, best use of fresh flowers, most creative and crowd favorite.

Hors d’oeuvres, desserts and wine will be served following the auction. Music will be performed by guitarist Leigh Richardson..

Tickets are $60 and can be purchased in advance at www.westporthistory.org, by calling 203-222-1424 or visiting the Westport Historical Society at 25 Avery Place across from Town Hall.
