The Westport Republican Town Committee has planned an Oktoberfest fundraiser Sunday afternoon, Oct. 14, where voters can meet GOP candidates for federal and state offices on the November ballot.
U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon and 4th District congressional candidate Steve Obsitnik are expected to attend, the committee said, along with candidates seeking to represent Westport in the state legislature.
The event is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Westport Woman's Club, 44 Imperial Ave. Tickets are $40.
The Oktoberfest will feature German food, German beer on tap, wine and soft drinks, and music, the committee said.
Other GOP candidates expected to attend the event include incumbent state Sens. Toni Boucher, 26th District, and John McKinney, 28th District, incumbent state Rep.Gail Lavielle, 143rd District, and Stephen Rubin, candidate for state representative in the 136th District.
