The Westport Farmers Market kicks off its ninth summer season on Thursday, May 22. The market offers an extensive variety of locally produced products including meats, dairy products, breads, seafood and produce from over 40 vendors.
The market is open Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from May 22 to Nov. 6 at the commuter lot, 50 Imperial Ave.
From 10:15 to 11 a.m each week, a Fairfield County's farm-to-table chef will conduct classes and demos using locally produced, seasonal ingredients found at the market.
The market also hosts weekly demonstrations on aspects of healthy living, such as home-grown edibles or home butchering.
