The Westport Arts Center will offer dinner and a movie during its "Big Night Out" event from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, in the center's gallery, 51 Riverside Ave.

The program will feature a screening of the film "Big Night" and dinner by Westport's Tarry Lodge amid the center's current "William Wegman: The Traveler" exhibit.

The event was originally slated for its "Foodies" exhibit in the fall, but postponed because of Hurricane Sandy.

The evening also will include a cocktail hour with hors d'ouevres consisting of meatballs, ricotta crostini and octopus.

Dinner will consist of an antipasti of prosciutto, salami, marinated vegetables and mozzarella; a tri-color salad with white bean vinaigrette; and 1,000 Layer Lasagna, followed by tiramisu for dessert.

"Big Night," a 1996 film directed by Campbell Scott and Stanley Tucci, tells the story of a failing Italian restaurant run by two brothers who gamble on one special night to try to save the business.

Seating is limited to 60 people, and tickets are $60.
