Westport Arts Center receives grant

The Westport Arts Center recently received a competitive grant of $2,700 from the Fairfield County Community Foundation.

The funds from the Norwalk-based foundation will go toward upgrading its financial management reporting systems' hardware/software interface to expand functionality of its financial processing systems. It will also be used to help launch a new website and database to achieve an enhanced patron interface, according to a news release.

The grant will also help in the management of its Heida Hermanns Holde Endowment Fund for the annual Heida Hermanns Holde International Competition. The two-day contest for young music students alternates yearly between a piano competition and a voice competition and offers free attendance to its semi-finals, the release states.
