Wealth manager opens firm in downtown Westport

A Westport wealth manager recently partnered with a nationwide wealth management firm to open his own firm in Westport.

Tom Pacilio, a former senior vice president with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, has established Pacilio Wealth Management, 450 Post Road East, under Washington Wealth Management, a Middleburg, Va.,-based network of independent financial advisers.

Washington Wealth has opened locations in Middleburg and Richmond, Va., Las Vegas and San Diego since being founded in December 2010, according to a release from Washington Wealth. Pacilio's office is the network's first location in the Northeast.

Pacilio, president of Pacilio Wealth Management with 20 years of wealth management experience, is joined by former Morgan Stanley teammates Daniel Besse, the firm's vice president and managing director, and Brian Fink, vice president. Besse, of Fairfield, and Fink, of Weston, are both former financial advisors with Morgan Stanley.

Pacilio will also be responsible for opening other Washington Wealth locations in the Northeast in his additional role as a producing branch manager, the release states.
