Wakeman Town Farm has planned its second annual holiday tree-lighting celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7, a day-long event featuring baked goods and ho beverages beverages, plus trees and holiday greenery grown in the area.

The family party is free and open to the public beginning at 10 a.m., and the farm recommended children wear hats and mittens or gloves. The tree-lighting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Holiday trees and greenery will be available for purchase, the farm said, including fresh fir and pine trees supplied by local nurseryman Sal Gilbertie from his nurseries in Westport and Easton.
