Vincent T. Cerbone, 81, of Mount Kisco, N.Y., and Fairfield, died Aug. 11, 2010.

Cerbone practiced law in Mount Kisco for 35 years, and also served the town as a village and town justice for 25 years. He attended St. Francis of Assisi School in Mount Kisco and St. Mary's School in Katonah, N.Y., Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio, Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., and New York Law School in New York City.

He served with the 1st Marine Division in Korea from January 1952 to January 1954. He was a member of the American Legion Moses Taylor Jr. Post 136, Knights of Columbus of Mount Kisco and the BPOE of Mount Kisco. He was a master raconteur, an avid traveler and enjoyed thoroughbred racing.

The son of Thomas and Mary R. Cerbone, both deceased, Cerbone is survived by his wife, Elaine E. Cerbone, and daughters Lisa C. Abzun of Mount Kisco and Mary Jean Erkan of Fairfield. He is also survived by granddaughters Caroline Joyce, Kathleen Joyce, Mili Abzun and Ivy Abzun, as well as a sister, Lucy A. Cerbone and a brother, Joseph J. Cerbone. A sister, Marie T. Cerbone, died in 1998.

Calling hours at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 East Main St., Mount Kisco, are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mount Kisco.
