Westport Animal Shelter Advocates has two dogs needing homes.
Cynthia, a 2-year-old chihuahua mix (possibly daschund), is being fostered by a WASA volunteer. She was headed for an in-state animal control facility after her owner decided that she was ready to be rid of her after she had provided enough puppies (three litters). Cynthia is described as a gentle dog that is quiet and mellow, and also gets along well with other dogs, according to WASA. The dog is spayed and up-to-date on vet care. Cynthia's adoption fee is $200, which will be applied to her care costs to date. For additional information about Cynthia and an adoption application, e-mail WASA at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sadie is a medium-sized, sweet and playful 8-month-old mixed breed currently at the Westport Animal Control shelter. She knows basic commands -- sit, down, stay and paw -- and loves to romp and run with other dogs. She is friendly with most people but can be a little shy with men, WASA says. Sadie's adoption donation is $150. Visit her at Westport Animal Control on Elaine Road or call 203-341-5076.
