WESTPORT—A Norwalk man with darkly-tinted windows was pulled over Saturday and found to possess the narcotic methadone.
Officers pulled over Mark Basler, 46, on Post Road East because he didn’t possess the required tint sticker. Basler appeared extremely nervous and was asked to exit the vehicle, police said.
After speaking with him, officers discovered Basler possessed methadone but did not have a prescription.
He was taken into custody and transported to headquarters where he was charged with possession of narcotics. Basler was issued a verbal warning for the improper tints on his vehicle and released after posting a $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court Dec. 28.
