Three Westport Boy Scouts have achieved scouting's highest honor.
Troop 36 Scouts Zachary Effman, Lucas Nash and Nicholas Moro will receive their Eagle badges at a Scout Court of Honor on Sunday.
Twenty-one merit badges are required for the Eagle rank in addition to a leadership service project of at least 100 hours.
Nash and his team created life-sized silhouettes of the 10 indigenous birds living at the Earthplace nature center. The birds were hung on display for public view and for Earthplace education programs.
Effman's Eagle project was clearing invasive plants for the Aspetuck Land Trust. He led a group of scouts in removing invasive Japanese barberry from the Trout Brook Valley preserve.
Clearing and making improvements to the Wakeman Town Farm was Moro's project. He and his volunteers cleared a large overgrown area, created a nature path and built a shed on the farm.
Troop 36 is chartered by the Saugatuck Congregational Church. Mark Lindwall is the troop's scoutmaster.
