Don't let the weekend go to waste, particularly with the comfortable temps and blue skies that are predicted. Here are suggestions to keep you on the move in Westport:

Put a "Mirror to Nature" and take in the latest exhibit by Cara Enteles at Amy Simon Fine Art, 1869 Post Road East. The artist will be on hand for Friday's opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Visit amysimonfineart.com for more information.

Or, get you nature fix first-hand, as the Friends of Sherwood Island State Park celebrate the 100th birthday of the state park system from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Sherwood Island Nature Center -- Sherwood Island is the oldest park in the state park system.. There will be a "Best of Connecticut" auction and raffle. Find more information at www.friendsofsherwoodisland.org

Do a little bargain hunting this weekend at the many tag and estate sales going on in town. To get started, visit an estate sale at 73 Clinton Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday or a barn-estate sale at 4 Hales Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Take a trip with the "Way Back Machine" Saturday night at the Black Duck Cafe, 605 Riverside Ave. The free musical performance starts at 9:30 p.m. Call 203-227-7978 for more information.

End the weekend with a free concert Americana and blues music at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road. Performing will be Professor Louie & the Crowmatix. Visit westportlibrary.org or call 203-291-4800 for more information.
