Snap out of that post-Thanksgiving stupor and get off the couch this weekend. We've got a list of things for you to enjoy in Westport:

Skate off those calories you consumed when the Westport PAL ice rink at Longshore opens for the season at noon Friday. Public skating hours are noon to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Admission without a hand pass is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Skate rentals are available for $5. For more information, visit www.wpalrink.com or call 203-226-7465.

If you plan to spend Saturday shopping, you can shop kid-free thanks to Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane. Drop the kids off starting at 9:30 a.m. at the nature center where they can enjoy a variety of activities. The cost is $30. Visit www.earthplace.org to register for more information.

After you've dropped off the kids, head over to the Remarkable Gift Shop at the Westport Historical Society on Avery Place. There you can find unique Westport-centric gifts from mugs to paintings. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Check http://westporthistory.org or call 203-222-1424.

Take a break from shopping and check out an exhibit of Parisian and New York cityscapes at the Westport River Gallery, 1 Riverside Ave. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Feel like playing a little lacrosse even though those days of high-school playing glory are behind you? Turn out for "Masters Lacrosse" starting at 7:45 a.m. Sunday at Saugatuck Elementary School, 170 Riverside Ave. For more information email dt_clark@yahoo.com.
