The Stand Juice Co., which features plant-based drinks and other healthful foods, has opened a third outlet with a store in Westport.

The local shop, at 1200 Post Road East, is in addition to stores in Fairfield and Norwalk.

The Stand Juice Co. was established a decade ago by Carissa and Mike Hvizdo, with a focus on “providing good food and a better earth using the land to do so,” according to a press release from the business.

The Stand Juice Co. first became known for their juice cleanses, based on a relatively new method of detoxification, according to the press release. More menu items were added later, including snacks, sandwiches and baked goods.

The menu includes offerings such as gluten-free baked goods, seasonal hummus with veggies, nuts and olives, a variety of soups, zucchini sesame noodles with fresh herbs, roasted chickpea roll-up with fresh ginger, local maple syrup, and salad made with romaine, toasted pumpkin seeds and cauliflower croutons with a Caesar-like dressing.

Produce and other ingredients are sourced locally, including Hideaway Farm, the couple’s own 15-acre farm on the banks of the Connecticut River.
