Music for Youth and Pequot Library will present 15-year-old pianist George Li at their next free Young Persons' Concert 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Trinity Church, 651 Pequot Ave., Southport.

Li is first-prize winner of the 2010 Young Concert Artist International Auditions and has also garnered five additional YCA prizes, the Sander Bookman Award, the Ruth Laredo Award, the John Browning Prize, the Paul Fish Memorial Award and the Slomovic Prize. He is also recipient of the $10,000 first-place prize in the Cooper International Competition while playing with the Cleveland Orchestra.

As a chamber musician, Li plays with the New England Conservatory's Vivace Trio, which has performed in the National Public Radio program "From the Top." He attends the Walnut Hill School and studies at the New England Conservatory with Wha Kyung Byun.

The 45-minute concert is appropriate for children aged 5 to 17. A door prize will awarded after the concert. No tickets are required for the concert, but early arrival is advised as seating is on a first-come basis.
