The 11th annual Taste of Westport benefiting CLASP Homes will take place May 7 at the Westport Inn.

The benefit, starting at 7 p.m., offers attendees a chance to sample specialty dishes from nearly two dozen restaurants. The inn is at 1595 Post Road East.

Among the area eateries scheduled to participate are Geronimo, Rive Bistro, Pane e Bene, Post 154 and Spread, with wine and spirits from Black Bear Wines & Spirits and the Greens Farms Spirit Shop.

CLASP provides housing, food and personalized services designed to enhance independence for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

A new Taste of Westport feature this year is a pre-party featuring chef Neil Fuentes of the restaurant Jojoto, who is a regular guest on "Connecticut Style, Chopped" and a champion on Food Network's "Rewrapped." His cooking demonstration, with music, is set from 6 to 7 p.m. People attending the pre-party will get early admission to the main event as well a first chance to bid on silent auction items.

The benefit's silent auction will feature items such as tickets to the "Daily Show" with Jon Stewart, including dinner and round-trip transportation to New York; "Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon tickets; NASCAR race tickets with hotel accommodations; late-season Yankees-Red Sox tickets; "Today Show" concert tickets; a Sonoma County wine-tasting Tour; a Rhode Island World Cup visit; a backyard summer grilling party; designer handbags; makeup and skin-care products; teeth-whitening treatments; Lefty Gomez autographed memorabilia, and a golf at the Redding Country Club.

Tickets for the Taste of Westport cost $75 for the main event, $95 including the pre-party. To buy tickets go online at www.tasteofwestport.com or call 203-226-7895, ext 144.
