Talk on doing business with government set

The Westport Public Library and Fairfield County Score will host a free talk for business owners on doing business with the state and federal governments on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Topics will include resources and programs for businesses and subcontracting opportunities through set-aside bids with the government and government contractors, according to a release. Finding bids and developing proposals will also be discussed.

The talk will be led by Lisa Powell of the U.S. Small Business Administration's Connecticut district office and Brien Robertson of the Connecticut Technical Procurement Assistance Program.

Advance registration with Score is requested at www.scorenorwalk.org. Registration for the program starts at 1:30 p.m.
