Westport Public Library will hold a talk on how Bedford Middle School teacher Lauren Bullock made a film based on the middle-school book "Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life" 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Author Wendy Mass will talk about her book, producer Bullock will discuss how the book became a film and actor Markley Rizzi will talk about how she brought one of its characters to life.

The event is free. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
