WESTPORT — TEAM Westport Chair Harold Bailey announced that the first of a regular series of discussions regarding issues of concern to the community will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, at Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East.

“Please join us for a post-election conversation concerning race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and sexual identity,” Bailey said. “As 2017 begins, what concerns you? What do you wonder? Come and respectfully listen to your neighbors and share your own experiences in a community forum on Sunday, Jan. 8.”

The Rev. Alison Patton, pastor of Saugatuck Congregational Church, will be the moderator. All are welcome and are invited to participate. TEAM Westport is a town committee focused on making Westport an increasingly welcoming community with respect to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and sexual identity.
