WESTPORT — A Stratford man allegedly shoplifted a large quantity of Dove soap from the Super Stop & Shop in town last month.
Kristopher Flint reportedly left the 1790 Post Road East location of the supermarket chain without paying for $123 of soap on the afternoon of Nov. 14, the department said. According to police, Flint dropped the shoplifted soap and drove away when store staff asked him to come back inside.
Police identified the resident of Burrit Avenue in Stratford from a license plate number and image on store surveillance footage, which matched a booking photograph of Flint from an arrest for a similar crime in December of last year.
Flint was arrested Dec. 6 and charged with sixth-degree larceny. The 45-year-old’s bail was set at $5,000 ahead of a Dec. 16 court date.
