Max Hoberman, a senior track & field standout at Emory University, was named the UAA Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week on Jan. 25th. Hoberman broke a meet record in the triple jump at the Emory Crossplex Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 24th with a distance of 14.47m. His mark was the fourth-best ever in school history in the event was the third best mark posted this season in all of Division III.

Hoberman was the UAA conference champion in the long jump and finished ninth at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the triple jump last year as a junior.

At Staples, Hoberman was a champion in the triple jump as a senior, and also took third place at the Class LL and State Open meets. He was a pivotal part of several relay teams for the Wreckers, who won the Class LL title in 2012.
