St. Luke Church hosts lecture on Pope Francis, Jesuits

The fourth of the First Friday Lectures presented by St. Luke Church will take place Friday, April 4 at 8 p.m. at the church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North. The speaker at the 8 p.m. program will be the Rev. James Bowler, S.J., from Fairfield University, who will discuss, "Ignatian Spirituality and Pope Francis."

Bowler first came to Fairfield in 1967 as a member of the faculty of Fairfield College Preparatory School. He served as headmaster there from 1977-1983. At the university, he has served as the facilitator for Catholic and Jesuit Identity and Mission and currently is the director of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality.

The lecture will be preceded by a wine and cheese reception at 7:30 p.m.
