Hot music trumped damp, cool weather Friday night as electro-disco by Hank & Cupcakes turned on the hardy Jesup Green crowd.

The husband-and-wife team -- real names, Ariel Scherbacovsky and Sagit Shir -- didn't let the inclement weather put a damper on their rockin' act for the Levitt Pavilion's summer season.

The Westport stop was the duo's kickoff to a 52-date summer tour promoting their new debut album, "Naked."

"Rockers in the rain," is how Carleigh Welsh, the Levitt's marketing director, referred to the crowd, which turned a potential washout into a mini Woodstock. They danced in the on-and-off drizzle, grinning from ear to ear, and shouted for encores.

Before Hank & Cupcakes rocked the green, the evening began on a smoother note with the soulful sounds of singer Kalae Nouveau.
