Two eight-week, short-story seminars are again being offered at the Westport Center for Senior Activities this fall, conducted by former Staples High School teacher Dick Leonard.

One course is designed for readers who have not taken one of Leonard's previous courses. The other features stories not studied in the center's previous programs.

Seminar One, for first-timers, will hold its first session Thursday, Sept. 22, from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. It continues for seven more Thursdays. No advance reading is required for the first session, and copies of stories to be discussed will be handed out.

Seminar Five will also meet at the center for the same eight-week period at 3 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Sept. 22. The new seminar will cover stories not discussed previously. Copies of the first week's reading will be available to participants when they register, and copies of stories for subsequent sessions will be distributed at the first meeting.

The registration fee for each seminar is $75, and preregistration is required.
