"Sing for your Shakespeare," a musical revue of songs inspired by the Bard's words, will be produced during the Westport Country Playhouse's 2014 season.

The production will be a world premiere and will be performed June 3-22 as the second show of the season, the playhouse said. The show is based on an original idea for "Lyrics and Lyracists" at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

The show will include music ranging from Broadway to pop, rock, jazz, opera, film and Tin Pan Alley, the playhouse said.

The playhouse has previously announced five other shows for the season: Noël Coward's "A Song at Twilight," Ingmar Bergman's "Nora," Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House," Alan Ayckbourn's "Things We Do for Love" and Lynn Nottage's "Intimate Apparel.
