The Westport Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave., has announced the following programs and activities:
Saturday, Aug. 17: The center will host a luncheon social from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. including entertainment. The menu includes grilled chicken wraps with roasted red peppers, bacon and pesto mayonnaise served with a tomato mozzarella salad, tri-color pasta, desert and beverages. After lunch, the jazz duo Gene Pino and Paul Boehkme will perform. The cost is $7.
Tuesday, Aug. 20: Adam Popper, a chiropractor who the center said is an expert on pain management, will give a presentation from 1 to 2 p.m. His topic will be "Safe Solutions to Handling Knee and Joint Pain."
Monday, Sept. 9: Registration for town residents begins for the center's fourth quarter classes, which will run from October through December. Registration for nonresidents begins Sept. 16. Registration both days will begin at 8:30 a.m.
A $10 late fee will be assessed for all registrations received after Sept. 30, the center said.
On registration days, numbers will be issued to registrants as they enter the center to assure an orderly process, center officials said. Each person may register only one person, whether it be himself or herself or a family member or friend.
