The Westport Center for Senior Activities has announced the following activities:
Monday, May 5: A computer class, "Introduction to the iPad," is planned from 10 a.m. to noon. The class is appropriate for those who have an iPad2 or more recent model, the center said. It will cover iPad's uses, accessories, connecting to the Internet, email and application programs. Participants should bring a fully-charged iPad to class. The cost is $30, and registration is required.
Thursday, May 8: Probate Judge Lisa Wexler will discuss the variety of matters the probate court handles and outline the requirements to appoint a conservator during a program from 11 a.m. to noon. The program is free.
Thursday, May 8: Two Staples High School students from South Korea will talk about their homeland and serve a traditional South Korean meal during a program from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Chai Kim and Sally Park will conduct the program and serve a meal of Japchae, a noodle dish, and Goongjoong Dduckbokki, a rice-cake stir fry. The cost is $6, and registration is required.
