A fundraising Scrabble tournament to benefit an agency that provides educational programs for poor women will take place Thursday evening, Feb. 6, at Greens Farms Academy. "Scrabble for Success" will be 7 to 10 p.m. at the 35 Beachside Ave. school and will benefit the nonprofit Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport.

Tickets are $50 and include drinks, snacks and raffle prizes. The event is for players 21 and over, and proceeds will benefit Mercy's adult literacy programs.

Participants may register teams of six players or sign up as individuals and be assigned to a team.

Mercy Learning Center provides educational and other services to indigent women and their preschool children.

To register for "Scrabble for Success," visit www. mercylearningcenter.org and click on the Scrabble board icon or call the center at 203-334-6699.
