Thursday night's thunderstorms were relatively brief, but fierce, and Weston was among the hardest-hit areas.

The storm knocked down trees and power lines in both Westport and Weston, but as of 6 a.m. Friday, Weston had the largest number of power outages. Connecticut Light & Power reported that 535 customers in Weston -- or 14 percent of the total -- had no electric service. In Westport, only 20 customers -- or 0.16 percent -- had no power.

Among the streets that were blocked, at least temporarily, by fallen trees and utility lines were Crooked Mile Road and Bayberry Lane, and Route 57 in Weston.
