K.C. Salon & Co. will hold a Cuts for a Cause fundraiser to benefit Family-to-Family Charity, a nonprofit hunger and poverty relief organization, from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at its shop, 1330 Post Road E.
The salon and Staples High School junior Kelly Gore will raise the money by offering $25 hair cuts or blow outs to the public, according to a news release. Gore last year raised about $3,000 for Family-to-Family by organizing a fashion show.
The May 5 event will also include raffle items from Dream Day Spa, Pinkberry, Wish List, Mountain Wood Train from Melissa and Doug Toy's and other businesses as well as refreshments and entertainment by Staples High School students, the release states.
Any checks or donations should be made to Family-to-Family.
The first 20 people to make an appointment for the fundraiser will receive a gift. Walk-ins are welcome.
Appointments may be made by calling 203-505-8729 or emailing Kellygore @aol.com.
