St. Luke Church will present its annual Christmas concert on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 21, featuring performances by its adult and children's choirs, plus an audience sing-along.

The concert, "Behold the Child," is at 3 p.m. at the 49 Turkey Hill Road North church.

The adult choir, under the direction of Daniel Coffman, will sing selections by Handel, Rutter and Mendelssohn, as well as traditional and contemporary carols, the church said in a news release.

Soloists will include sopranos Stella Hartel and Christine O'Sullivan and basses Thomas Kramer and Ronald Wayne-Basses.

Vocals will be accompanied by organist Leon Bernard, pianist Marguerite Hastings, trumpeter Brian Chamberlain and tympanist William Hastings, according to the release.

The children's choir will be directed by Todd Caporizzo. In addition, the audience may sing along during a selection of traditional carols.

The concert will conclude with a Nativity scene featuring children in the religious formation program. A reception will follow in the church's community room.

The concert is free, but donations will be accepted, the church said.
